Grande Cache
Today we got a late start in getting out of camp. We have remote tire pressure sensors, 1 of them has been misbehaving, so we thought we would reset all 6 of them hoping to correct the problem. That was less than successful, in other words a failed attempt at correcting the problem.
Anyway on to fun things we did today. We drove a couple miles north to Willmore Wilderness Park and Sulfur Gates. (Where the 2 rivers meet) We went for a short walk with has 3 platforms over looking the Smoky and Sulfur rivers confluence, just amazing view from the platforms.
Then we went for a 4 mile round trip hike to Eaton Falls . The book said it was 2 mile hike, with 50ft elevation gain. We gain 50ft plus many times on an up and down trail, we were pleased to make it to the falls and enjoy the breeze and beauty of the falls. Come back to the Visitors and interpretive center where there is a walk way with several
Historic fire towers look outs which were brought into and set up in Grande Cache for display.
