Saturday October 2nd (Glacier National Park & Lake Shuswap)

Golden to Salmon Arm
200 miles
Today was a pretty easy driving; we took our time and enjoyed the scenery. We have almost have had an overload of fall foliage as seem to just keep on getting better. Lake Shuswap is shaped like a big H. and has over 1000 miles of shoreline. We drove along one of the arms to the community of Salmon Arm where we camped for the evening. At the campground we shared a camp fire (the 1st of the trip) with a couple from Kamloops, Carmen and Ross. We exchanged a few stories then, Ross worked for Canadian Pacific Railroad and is an engine driver, he mention the trains he drives are 2 miles long, and there are two people operating these massive freight trains.
