Monday October 11th (Urban walk in Portland)

Clackamas Camp Ground Portland
Today we visited the Chevy dealer as there is an anti thief device on our radio which we could not get unlocked after replacing the battery. The procedure requires disconnecting the battery for an hour, contacting an 800 phone number to get a new code, plugging it in, and doing a couple of backward summersaults and heaven knows what else and then the radio will be operating normally again. The procedure as written in the owner’s manual is incorrect, so we had no chance of getting it right. The nice thing the guy at dealership did not charge us for getting the radio going again, thank you Dave.
Stan and puppy Mattie took us to downtown Portland where we went for an urban walk, along one side of the river, crossed a bridge then back up the other side. Lots of folks were riding bikes, running, walking and enjoying the lovely wide trails that are on either side of the river. In the evening we went and visited with Stan, Jane and Mattie and talked more about travel and picked up many ideas from them about traveling in a RV.
